When is the last time that you stopped? Do you stop to breathe, to take a breather or to catch your breath? Too often we run on autopilot, we push and run and push and run and then we become exhausted. We must take time to catch up, to pace ourselves and to breathe.
Stress is the greatest cause of illness, unhappiness and imbalance in every area of our lives. What are you doing to manage your stress and your fatigue? Making the time to breathe twice a day for 10 minutes really assists your mind and body to cope with the pressures and realities of your daily performance. We must prevent the crash and the stress and the breath is a great place to start. Breathing can be done anywhere, any time and by anyone. It is innate but we can scale it’s ability to assist us by becoming mindful of our breath. Begin by breathing in for 6-8 points, hold your breath gently for 6-8 counts and then creating out for a further 6-8 counts. Do this 3-5 times a few times a day and you will notice your body and mind begin to calm down. This breathing is a powerful technique to balance your nervous system and to take you out of biochemical state of stress called fight and flight.
Make time twice a day to engage in the breath, it connects you to your truth, to your vision and to your purpose. After you breathe you perform better you have clarity and often times more motivation to complete your tasks. Go on, give it a go! It will change your day.
